Kathmandu Adventure Series - Sunday May 22nd

If you are looking to have a bit of fun and get a new focus for your training, then the Kathmandu Adventure Race on Sunday May 22nd is just the thing for you!

The race is a lot of fun with teams having to change between disciplines several times during the event. There is never any time to get bored or tired as you will be constantly challenged throughout the race!

These sprint adventure races are designed for teams of two. The course consists of 15-25km of mountain biking,5-10km of trail running/trekking and 2-4km of kayaking. These non-stop events will take between two to six hours to complete.

The race will require some basic navigation (if you can read a street directory, you will be able to complete the course).

All checkpoints can be reached by following tracks and paths, however occasionally it maybe faster to go cross-country.

Your team must complete the course (together, no relays) in the minimum amount of time by visiting each of the check points in turn by foot, bike or kayak. The course is kept secret until the day of the race, but a typical course might involve;

  • Leg 1: 2km trail run
  • Leg 2: 10km MTB
  • Leg 3: 1km kayak
  • Leg 4: 5km MTB
  • Leg 5: 5km trail run
  • Leg 6: 7km MTB
  • Leg 7: Finishing with a 2km kayak.

We will have a number of teams of staff and clients competing to help raise funds for Red Kite, and would love you and your family to join us and have some fun.
